SCDA & Pitlochry Festival Theatre remeber Ros Lane

On Saturday morning there will be a special Reception at Pitlochry Festival Theatre to dedicate a bench in memory of Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) advisor Ros Lane.

The Reception takes place on the final day of the SCDA's Scottish one-act play festival at the theatre.

Ros, who died last May, was acclaimed as an actress, a director, a tutor and an adjudicator. During her career, she worked with Stephen Joseph and Alan Ayckbourn, performed in Pitlochry's 1962 season, and played in what would be the Edinburgh Traverse's opening productions.

On Saturday, following a welcome by the Chairman of the Community Council, Nikki Axford, Chief Executive of Pitlochry Festival Theatre, will speak about the gardens and Ros's time at the theatre.

In the theatre gardens, Colin Peter, Chairman of SCDA, will talk about Ros and her work with SCDA. Benita Wylie will then reveal the bench.

You are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served so please contact Morna Barron if you wish to attend.
