SCDA Wigtown District, the most southerly district in Scotland, extends a welcome to the Scottish Youth Finals which will take place in Stranraer this year on Saturday 21st June when the four Divisional Youth winners meet to complete for the title of Scottish Youth Festival winners.

The District Committee is confident that you will find the Ryan Theatre a welcoming venue having just hosted a very successful Western Divisional Finals there at the end of March. The Theatre provides a year-round programme of shows and productions, including concerts, choirs, dance, drama, jazz, musicals, opera, and pop, to cater for all tastes. It also hosts an ongoing arts programme co-ordinated by the Arts Officer for Dumfries and Galloway Council. Raked seating for audience of 263, Full lighting and sound equipment, 4 wheelchair spaces, 2 dressing rooms. Induction loop in auditorium. Access for the disabled and parking.

Wigtown District has a history of doing things differently from the normal and this Festival is no different. Instead of running all four plays together, we have decided to stage them in two sessions. Afternoon Session of two plays Curtain Up at 3.00pm and an Evening Session for the remaining two, Curtain up at 7.00pm.
