SCDA Structure

SCDA is a community based organisation and operates through 24 District Commitees throughout Scotland. Geographically, these are grouped in four Divisions: Eastern, Highland, Northern and Western. At a national level SCDA is run by the General Council through several committees we employ 3 members of staff in the National Office for administration and arts development. National Drama Advisor - 01786 440077 Carole Williams is our National Drama Advisor Funded by the Scottish Arts Council to assist the organisation with the following:- Raise the profile of the SCDA nationally. Network with the wider theatre and arts sector, and negotiate partnerships with other bodies to support the long term development of the Association. Develop the current advisory service to provide increased input to local drama groups via a programme of workshops. Creation of a pool of theatre specialists to provide master classes and directorial expertise to existing local drama groups throughout Scotland. Develop SCDA's capacity to obtain public funding in the longer term, by helping the organisation improve its management and administration.
